SEMINAR “Sport and Special Educational Needs”
On March 1, 2025, at the Palazzo dei Convegni in Jesi, an important seminar will take place as part of the JUDO4SEN project, promoted by the Judo Samurai association. This event marks the beginning of a path dedicated to promoting equal opportunities and social inclusion in sport, with a specific focus on the application of the conative methodology.
The meeting will involve young people and athletes from 13 European countries, offering a unique opportunity for exchange and mutual growth. Judo, with its principles of respect, discipline, and cooperation, represents a powerful tool for integration, particularly for young people with Specific Learning Disorders (SLD) and other special educational needs.
Through the conative method, Judo can help children and young people improve their motor, cognitive, and emotional skills, strengthening concentration, coordination, and self-esteem. Scientific studies also show that adapted practice of this discipline can have a positive impact on children on the autism spectrum, supporting the development of their motor and behavioral abilities.
The Jesi seminar will be the first in a series of events that will accompany the JUDO4SEN project throughout its dissemination and implementation across Europe, once again highlighting the value of sport as a tool for social inclusion and personal growth.
